FEATURED WORK
Due to the data-sensitive and internal-business tool nature of our product, contact our customer directly for product demonstration details.
See "ABOUT OUR CUSTOMER", our first time working with YuLan.
After winning YuLan project with their business website, we were contact for another task: YuLan wanted to migrate their customers from their previous restaurant to their new restaurant. YuLan approached both our firm, and Toast Restaurants POS with their challenge.
We discussed several solutions. The information we were given were the following: YuLan had a paper-based customer tracking system that would be filled out by the waitstaff or customer each time after the customers' meals; and, the filling out of the form rewarded the customer with spending credit at the new restaurant.
YuLan approached us with the idea of digitalizing this process. We came up with a few solutions:
Our firm recommended the continued use of the paper-based system, as a software-as-a-service would only pay off on its investment if data size increases. However, our customers were adamant on digitization, so we recommended option (B) and set a deliverables timeline of 1 week.
A few days later, we discovered that if we used FormSpree or one of its equivalents, YuLan would have no way of validating if customers who signed up for their system actually came from customers they knew. Off-the-shelf solutions had no built-in authentication system.
Over one weekend, we built YuLan a custom solution to that problem while asking for no down payment upfront. We met with YuLan on the date of our deliverables deadline, presented them both solution (B) and (C), and communicated why we've built a solution (C) in addtion to solution (B).
YuLan purchased solution (C) right after our meeting.
The end product was a reasonably-priced custom web application, database, and internal admin portal that allowed YuLan to make sure their customers migrated to their new restaurants, and allowed them to hit the ground running on Day 1 of their new business opening.
We competed with Toast Restaurants POS for the fulfillment of this project, and we won both the deal and the execution. We believe we did so due to the simultaneous skills of listening to our customer, understanding customer needs, and an ability to execute using our deep understanding of business technologies.
